Marquis Daniels til Celtics

Over the weekend, the Boston Celtics agreed to a deal with free agent Marquis Daniels. The 28-year-old played for the Pacers for the past three years, and last year averaged career highs in points (13.6) and rebounds (4.6). Last month the Pacers declined a $7.35 million option on Daniels. After averaging upwards of 30 mpg last season, Daniels will be counted on to provide minutes off the bench when Ray Allen and Paul Pierce rest. After signing Rasheed Wallace recently, the Celtics may still be in the market for a point guard.

Chris Wilcox til Detroit

While the announcment may not come for a week, sources are saying that former-Knick Chris Wilcox has agreed on a two-year deal with the Detroit Pistons. He will join a roster that includes two other high profile newcomers in Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva. Wilcox’s signing probably means that Carlos Boozer will not be landing in Motown this summer.

Jamario Moon að öllum líkindum til Cleveland

According to multiple sources, the Cleveland Cavailiers have agreed to a deal with small forward Jamario Moon. Moon is a restricted free agent, so the Miami Heat have seven days to match the offer. It’s unlikely that they will, however, as they continue their attempt to save money for next year’s free agent class. The Cavs felt the need to make a move, as their conference rivals have been bolstering their lineups since free agency began on July 1st.
