Barkley um Gortat: "One of the ten best centers in the NBA"

Charles Barkley kann að meta Marcin Gortat og sagði eftirfarandi í útvarpsviðtali nýverið...

Gortat might be one of the most underrated players in the NBA.  That tells you how good a player he is that they’re gonna pay him that type of money to sit on the bench.  I watched him play a few times but to get to watch him every day game during the playoffs; I think he’s one of the ten best centers in the NBA.

Davis, who has agreed to a two-year contract worth approximately $6.3 million, including a starting point of approximately $3 million next season, was in Boston today, and may take a physical tomorrow before finalizing the deal. The Celtics, who backed off their request for a third year at a team option, are also aiming to wrap up business with free agent swingman Marquis Daniels by the end of the week, according to a league source.

Elton Brand er tilbúinn í slaginn

Góðar fréttir fyrir Sixers-menn...

Working out this summer, six months after the shoulder surgery, I’ve got the full range of motion back in my arm and I’m feeling like my old self again,’ Brand said. ‘It’s just not my shoulder that feels good. It’s also my legs. In a way and for the long term, it might have been a good thing for the shoulder to happen. It slowed me down and gave the Achilles a chance to fully heal. Now I’ve got my movement and my explosiveness back and I’m ready to prove some things to a lot of people.‘

Shaq ekki að fíla Kurt Rambis

Shaquille O’Neal called fellow former Lakers players Kurt Rambis and Mychal Thompson ‘horrible players’ during an appearance on the Mason & Ireland Show. The Cleveland Cavaliers center even admitted he didn’t know much about Thompson’s game (he helped the Lakers win back-to-back titles in 1987-88), but O’Neal was particularly harsh with Rambis, who played for four Lakers champions, and was an assistant coach in Shaq’s L.A. tenure…Asked about Rambis as a coach, O’Neal had nothing to say at all. He also hung up, called back and said ‘That’s what I like about him.’
