HOUSTON -- The New York Knicks have acquired Tracy McGrady and his massive expiring contract in a three-team swap with the Houston Rockets and the Sacramento Kings.

They're also relieved to have finally found a taker for McGrady, the troublesome seven-time All-Star they've been trying to trade for almost two months.

Ilgauskas gæti endað aftur hjá Cleveland

It is generally assumed that the Wizards will buy out the last year of Ilgauskas' contract, which will pay him $11.5 million. That would leave Ilgauskas free to sign with any team, including the Cavaliers, although he would have to wait 30 days to re-sign with Cleveland. He would not have to wait to sign with another team, but he must be bought out before March 1 in order to be eligible for the playoffs.

"I'm going to try to get them to do a buy-out, but I've already heard from a few teams - good teams - that are really interested in wanting to talk about Z going to play for them," Rudoy said. "That doesn't surprise me. He's still a very good player. He's a very interesting player who can still be a very good center in this league.

"I don't know exactly what's going to happen. I think his heart is in Cleveland, that's for sure.

Cleveland Cavaliers á eftir Amar'e Stoudamire

The Cavaliers and Suns are close to a deal that would send Amare Stoudemire to Cleveland in exchange for Zydrunas Ilgauskas and J.J. Hickson, ESPN.com reports.

The Cavaliers believe LeBron James would re-sign with the team this summer if they’re able to acquire Stoudemire. The Cavs’ intention would be to sign Stoudemire, who has one year and $17 million remaining on his contract, to a long-term deal at season’s end.

Cleveland is still in trade talks with other teams – including the Wizards for Antawn Jamison, the Pacers for Troy Murphy and the Warriors for Corey Maggette -- but Stoudemire is the organization’s first choice, according to the report.

The Suns would likely wave Ilgauskas and be relieved of his $12 million contract, the web site reports. That would allow Cleveland to re-sign him after 30 days.
