I remember hitting that shot and being extremely happy about giving us a one-point lead. And in the midst of that happiness, they called a timeout. As I went to sit on the bench, it dawned on me. There still were four seconds remaining, and there was no question who was going to get the ball.

So that happiness dissipated really quickly. It was only a matter of whether I'd be able to force him into a tough shot. I did. He was so far behind the 3-point line, but that wasn't quite enough. When the ball was halfway to the hoop, I just started walking off the floor, because I realized he had gotten a great look at the basket when he went up. Even though he was 30 feet away, I knew he had gotten too good a look.

 That's what defines him as the best I've ever seen. Guys defend him tough and do everything the right way, and he still makes the spectacular play.

I remember the Bulls had the ball; it was a timeout. I remember Jordan started coming; I mean, he had that look in his eye.  He got going real good and went off to the right, stopped on the dime, pulled up and hit it.  It was his signature move.

I think when you look at it, I mean, it's MJ, one of the greatest players ever. This was after one of his comebacks, and he was just starting to get into a good rhythm.

For me, I look back on my career, and to be able to compete against the best player ever is an honor.  As 2 guards, we all tried to measure up to Michael, but it was virtually impossible. We all tried to compete, but in the end, he was the guy who was winning the rings, MVP trophies and scoring titles. Michael Jordan is simply spectacular. The best player to ever play the game.

The New Jersey Nets are the first NBA team to sell a practice jersey sponsorship, which will put the logo of PNY Technologies on practice uniforms this fall.

The company, a flash-drive manufacturer based in Parsippany, N.J., also bought the naming rights to the Nets' practice facility in East Rutherford, N.J., to be called the PNY Center as part of a two-year sponsorship agreement. Brett Yormark, president of Nets Sports & Entertainment, refused to comment on the value of the sponsorship. PNY officials would not disclose the specific value but said they are paying in the low six figures for the overall team deal.
