PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia 76ers guaranteed guard Allen Iverson's contract for the rest of the season on Tuesday.
The Sixers could have waited until Wednesday -- the final day -- to guarantee the remainder of his prorated one-year contract worth $1.3 million. Iverson was signed by the Sixers as a free agent on Dec. 3.

NBA Jam snýr aftur!
7.1.2010
NBA Jam is coming back.
Yes, that 1993 game brought me as much joy in that era as much as Baywatch bikini slow-mo jogging. The game had its obvious flaws like Michael Jordans absence, but in retrospect didnt that add to his legend? As a result the sub-par Pippen/Grant combo proved to be more memorable in the process.
What was your favorite on court duo? Most would say Malone/Stockton or LJ/Mourning. But you couldnt sleep on the Rony Seikly/Glen Rice tandem or how about Jeff Hornacek/Clarence Weatherspoon pairing?
Now that EA Sports bought the rights, Im curious on what theyll decide to do for the Wii console. As long as they bring back classic phrases like Hes on Fire! Im straight. Either way, I know Ill be throwing the control across the room in defeat as well as gloating in victory screaming Boomshakalacka!

Rafer Alston til Miami Heat?
5.1.2010
The Miami Heat have reached an agreement to trade guard Chris Quinn to the New Jersey Nets to create a roster spot and reduce their luxury-tax bill slightly before trying to re-sign the NBA's newest free agent: Rafer Alston.
NBA front-office sources told ESPN.com that the Heat have agreed to send Quinn, cash and a 2012 second-round pick to New Jersey in exchange for a protected 2010 second-rounder after the Nets completed their expected buyout of Alston.
