Phil Jax gefur lítið fyrir spádóma um 72 sigurleiki

Mikið var talað um að Miami Heat myndu jafna eða jafnvel bæta met Chicago Bulls 1996 yfir flesta sigurleiki á heilu tímabili eða 72 sigurleiki.  Nú hafa Heat tapað þremur leikjum af þeim átta sem liðið hefur spilað og sýnir enn sem komið er enga tilburði til að ógna þessu meti.  Lakers hins vegar hafa nú unnið alla þá átta leiki sem liðið hefur spilað og virðist vera að smella vel saman, en þjálfari liðsins, Phil Jackson er alveg á jörðinni þegar það berst í tal að slá þetta met:

"That really happened with the team in '95-96. They knew how to blow teams out and put them away in the early part of the second period. Everything kind of fell into place for us, also.

"We went on a long road trip and three of the five teams or eight teams we played on that road trip had injuries to players who were important players. We won seven out of eight games on that road trip. Things like that happened."

Jackson said his Michael Jordan-led Bulls teams of the 1990 s were extremely competitive, as evidenced by their ability to shut down teams with a suffocating defense. He doesn't quite see the same defensive commitment from the current Lakers team.

Newsflash! Vince Carter með meiddi

Half Man - Half Hurt rann í bleytu og tognaði á mjöðm...... jebb. 

This time it wasn't Carter's fault.  As the Orlando Sentinel reports, Carter took a nasty slip on a wet spot on the court, collapsing to the ground in horrific fashion, even by Carter's standards. Magic coach Stan Van Gundy sounds like he's so angry his mustache is about to fly off of his face:

Van Gundy said Vince Carter injured himself after slipping on a wet spot. Carter hobbled off after falling with one minute and 45 seconds left and did not return. He said he has a sore hip and knee.

"We got a guy hurt simply because they wouldn't dry a damn wet spot," said Van Gundy, who added that a Bobcat player slipped in the spot earlier. "When a player goes down they're supposed to do it. They didn't care. That's ridiculous. I'm just ticked off."
