The Wolves traded Etan Thomas and two second-round picks to Oklahoma City for Damien Wilkins and Chucky Atkins. All three have expiring contracts after this season. Other than Tulsa native Thomas going to his home state, this trade is a real yawner, folks.

Cavs hafa boðið Leon Powe samning

Leon Powe is reportedly considering a contract offer from the Cavaliers.

He is believed to have had talks with the Mavericks as well, but their recent agreement with Drew Gooden likely means they'll end their pursuit of Powe.

Powe, who has yet to receive an offer to remain with the Celtics, isn't expected to come back until the end of the 2009-10 season as he recovers from a knee injury.

For days, Shaq has been talking up a personal experiment: Is he so famous that he can just walk up without an appointment and get into the White House? He took an impromptu survey Friday on a DC sports radio show. "Check this out, I got on a nice suit, I'm in D.C. paying a visit, I jump out of a cab in front of the White House, I don't use none of my political/law enforcement connections. If I go to the gate and say, 'Hey, I'm in town, I would like to see the President,' do I get in, or do I not get in?" Shaq asked. Well, he tried. On Sunday afternoon, Shaq arrived in D.C. and promptly Twittered that he was headed over to the White House. Would the Secret Service bend the rules? Don't think so. A few hours later, Shaq updated again: "The white house wouldn't let me in, whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?" he wrote.

Okafor/Chandler trade frágengið

The Hornets and Bobcats are in advanced discussions on a trade that would send center Tyson Chandler to Charlotte in exchange for fellow big man Emeka Okafor, according to NBA front-office sources.

It was not immediately known if the teams are ready to complete the swap -- or if the deal would expand to include other players or teams -- but sources close to the process said talks featuring Chandler and Okafor as the main components have been ongoing since late last week.

Drew Gooden á leið til Dallas

The Mavs reportedly gave journeyman Drew Gooden the bulk of their
midlevel exception to fill the void left by Brandon Bass' departure.

Several outlets report that the 6-10, 250-pound Gooden signed a one-
year deal worth $4.5 million plus incentives.

"Dallas here I come," Gooden tweeted.
